Here is some extra information about Intellibed, the type of mattress that we recommend.
INTELLIBED CORRECTION- In a previous newsletter, we told you about Intellibed mattresses and mentioned that there is a 60 day money back guarantee, but that you had to pay shipping if you returned the item. According to Intellibed this is not correct. If you return the item, no shipping payment is required if you have met the conditions of their return policy. In addition, if you like the bed but would like it a little firmer or a little softer than the one you bought, you can exchange your bed for the one you want and they will deliver the new bed and take back the old bed at no charge. (You do have to pay the difference in price between the old and new bed if there is one, of course.)
Please note, in order to qualify for the 60 day money back guarantee, you MUST purchase and use the mattress cover. This is required by law as a mattress is considered a ‘personal product’ and must be protected. INTELLIBED MODELS- To us, the Intellibed website is a little hard to understand, so here is a run down of their offerings for those of you that are interested:
1. Standard Models- There are two standard models: the Intellibed 20 (standard) and the Intellibed 20 plush.
a. The Intellibed 20 is kind of an in-between: not too firm, not too soft.
b. The Intellibed 20 Plush is for people who need a softer or more plush type bed. It has an extra layer of latex (not memory foam) on top of the gel mattress.
2. Medical Grade Models- These two models are of higher quality, and should be more comfortable, durable and therapeutic, but they are also more expensive than the standard models. However, the prices are still comparable to other high end mattress brands.
a. The Posture Perfect is the standard medical grade model, and is a specialty mattress for those with back or disk problems who need or prefer a firmer, more supportive feel. This mattress is best for overall spinal alignment.
b. The Relief Perfect Latex mattress is for those that need or prefer a softer bed that still gives plenty of support. People with severe medical conditions like fibromyalgia, arthritis or severe hip or shoulder pain tend to prefer this mattress, as do those who like softer, more luxurious feeling mattresses.
GIVE IT A TRY- We now have a twin sized bed in our office for you to come and try out. It is the Relief Perfect Latex model. You can come during office hours if you would like to lay on it to help you decide which model might be best for you.
ADD ONS- Intellibed also offers toppers, adjustable frames and pillows just to name a few things, but these seem straight forward and easy to understand.
