OUR FOODS ARE POISONING US- We talk quite a bit about the impact the altered foods in our food supply these days can have on our bodies. From the chemicals added, to the nutrients that are taken out, to the way scientists are actually altering our foods genetically – food is becoming one of the biggest hazards we face daily.
SN’s EXPERIENCE- Here is a recent email we received from a patient, SN of Adamsville, TN, on this subject:
“I thought I’d pass a little on about these weird foods since it’s along your lines.
My nephew has been sick for months (to almost a year), not being able to work, eat out, then have to be left on the side of road to “rid” himself of the just eaten food. They would drop others back at office and go back to pick him up.
My sister finally went with him to the doctor. They told him it was the breakfast food/cereal, and it was lasting until about 1 PM before settling enough for him to be able to function.
All of the food according to the doctor is now genetically altered unless it states “Organic” – not even “all natural” counts. The [stuff] they add to the food is part of it also that is causing this.
Diarrhea, vomiting, cramps, “you are stuck in the bathroom” symptoms. They said that is a big cause of it. Even his dad ate some kind of cereal the other day and immediately got sick, like in 5 minutes.
I’ve pretty much given up cereal, but I know the last I fell in love with and ate and would kill me was the new Krave! In chocolate of course!! Just ate a little and bathroom and cramps all day long. I thought I was going back to having polyps it was so bad.
Food for your thought!!”
INDIVIDUALITY- Every body is different, so you may not react as strongly as others do to the same toxins. You may be able to handle the artificial vitamins pumped into the food supply, but not the genetic alterations, or vice versa.
The bottom line, though, is that food is probably the largest determinant of our health. Eating unhealthy food day in and day out is one tremendous obstacle to a healthy life.
Hope this helps,
Dr Matt and Dr Robin
This week’s bit of Useless Information: Businesses like McDonald’s and Starbucks buy chairs with low ‘butt ratings’…they have a measured amount of time before they become too uncomfortable for patrons to stay and take up valuable space.
